Hi Guga, I was also having DPC Latency Issues using NI Guitar Rig 5 and I kept getting audio drop-outs, which was really annoying as I had a new Intel i7 (x64) laptop and a brand new NI KA6 audio interface! I tried everything, but, after weeks of research and effort, I seemed to have fixed my problem - fingers crossed. You might of tried some of these 'fixes' but here are some of the things I did.
1. BIOS: Go into your computers' BIOS settings (usually you hit F2 or Delete when booting-up) and turn off any 'power saving' options as CPU throttling seems to be a problem.
2. POWER PLANS: I had a problem on my Samsung NP350V5C-A06, Intel i7 CPU, laptop which would reset the power plan. Turns out the problem wasn't Windows 8 - it was the Samsung settings running in the background. To fix the 'problem' I opened up the Samsung configuration settings and went to: General tab > Silent Mode > and selected 'Off'. The AUTO (default) fan option was controlling the fan speed noise, but, it was also resetting my preferred Windows power plan back to the 'Power saver' plan every time I booted-up! It seems other manufacturers have this annoying hidden 'feature' as well, so check your computer settings.
3. CPU MANAGEMENT: Check the CPU 'Processor power management' under your preferred power plan. Go to Control Panel > Hardware and Sound > Power Options > Edit Plan Settings > Change advanced power settings. Make sure you have these settings: Minimum processor state > Plugged in: = %100 and Maximum processor state > Plugged in: = %100 and System cooling policy > Plugged in: = Active. Check anything else that could throttle back or slow down your computer, such as the hard disk settings or any other power saving options.

4. BCDEDIT: I suspect that the following tutorial fixed my problem. I went to Tom's Hardware and found a tutorial called: 'How Do I Optimize DPC Latency in Windows 8?' [http://www.tomshardware.co.uk/faq/id-1655607/optimize-dpc-latency-windows.html]. They recommended this, open up a: '..command prompt window, type BCDEDIT /SET DISABLEDYNAMICTICK YES command and press Enter to fix the high DPC latency in Windows 8. Since I applied this 'fix' I haven't had the usual DPC latency/USB audio drop-outs when using Guitar Rig 5. I'm now running Windows 8.1 and everything is still okay :-)
NOTE: 'BCDEDIT /SET DISABLEDYNAMICTICK YES' doesn't work with Windows 7; you'll have to upgrade to Windows 8.1 :-(

Dynamic Ticks for Operating Systems: 'Background: “Normal” operating systems use system timer interrupt (a periodic timer “tick”) that fires on a periodic interval. This allows the kernel of the OS to update internal counters, perform any accounting, and switch processes (perform a context switch) if the current process’ time slice is done. This method has two primary downfalls: kernel timer resolution is limited to the tick rate, and an idle system uses unnecessary power by waking up from a sleeping state, checking to see if anything needs to be done, and then going back to sleep. These two functions are linked together. Suppose I am creating a real-time OS that has hard latency requirements, and I want to ensure the system is always responsive. Further suppose that I want this real-time OS to run on an embedded platform with low power requirements. To achieve more accurate timers, and then lower latencies, I can increase the rate of the timer interrupt. However, this also uses more power, as the system uses the CPU and other hardware devices that may otherwise be idle to check if anything needs to be done.'
